Interstate 32 (West)
Description Ultimate interstate 32 is a planned western segment of an Interstate Highway that would link Denver to the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. This highway would travel through the cities of Wichita Falls and Amarillo Texas where it would merge with I-40. The planned western portion of that route continues I-32 northwest along US-84 heading to Raton, NM. where from there travelers could take I-25 north to Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver. Purpose and Need This corridor provides needed transportation links for freight and completes a missing link in the current interstate system. It provides a connection from Denver to the nations fourth largest metropolitan area.
